Corexit EC9500A the newer formulation, is made without 2-butoxyethanol and is mainly comprised of hydrotreated light petroleum distillates, propylene glycol and Dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate.
Symptoms of Dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate Exposure
- Severe eye irritation.
- Skin irritation.
- Ingestion causes diarrhea, intestinal bloating, cramps, nausea.
- Cytotoxic effects on liver cells in tissue culture have been observed.
